London, 13 October 2014: De La Rue is delighted to announce that it has today signed a new 10 year contract with the Bank of England to print its sterling banknotes at the Bank’s facility in Debden, Essex.
On 8 September 2014, the Bank announced that De La Rue had been identified as the ‘preferred bidder’ for the banknote printing contract. The Bank has subsequently completed assurance activity on De La Rue’s bid and the contract has now been finalised.

The new contract will commence in April 2015.
