Basingstoke; 15th October 2015. De La Rue confirms its support for new €20 banknote by signing the memorandum of understanding on the adaptation of banknote equipment as initiated by the European Central Bank
Earlier this summer, on the 23rd July 2015, De La Rue attended and participated in the signing of the memorandum of understanding on the adaptation of banknote equipment to the new €20 banknote as initiated by the European Central Bank (ECB). Also in attendance for the signing were relevant European industry associations, banknote equipment manufacturers and other partners.
De La Rue’s signing of this memorandum demonstrates an ongoing commitment to the ECB and Euro currency with their confirmed assistance to ensure machines and devices are ready to accept the new €20 banknote as of 25 November 2015.
