Wednesday 30 November 2016 – De La Rue is delighted to have designed and produced a commemorative banknote for the Central Bank of Barbados to celebrate 50 years of independence
Based on the fully circulating banknote that has a bright hologram and a high level security thread, this commemorative $50 note features the official 50th anniversary logo.
Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Octavia Gibson, Deputy Director of Currency at the Central Bank of Barbados commented “We felt it was important to recognise this milestone in our nation’s history with a commemorative note and thank De La Rue for their support over the years”.
