Third win for the ECCB’s $2 polymer banknote on SAFEGUARD®
De La Rue is delighted to announce that The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) wins third award this year for its $2 polymer banknote designed and manufactured by De La Rue on SAFEGUARD®.
The award ceremony took place last week during the High Security Printing (HSP) Latin America conference in Santiago, Chile. The ECCB received "Best New Commemorative Banknote 2024" making this the first banknote in the region to win awards from HSP Latin America, the International Association Currency of Affairs and the International Bank Note Society the same year.
The multi award winning polymer note is the first "next generation" polymer banknote designed with a deep integration of complementary security features into the overall banknote design. The banknote's visual impact is enhanced by features including the first appearance of aqua-blue tinted holographic foil, turtle imagery, and the brilliant silver of the ARGENTUM™ and vibrant colours of the ILLUMINATE™ feature within the note's window.
