Secrets of the new King Charles banknotes

The Mail on Sunday has today published an article on the "Secrets of the new King Charles bank notes that took ten years to create" one month ahead of the new King Charles III banknotes entering circulation.

The article features an exclusive interview between Debbie Marriot, the Bank's chief bank note designer for this project and Stephen Matthews, Senior Portrait Engraver and Engraving Team Lead from De La Rue. They discuss how De La Rue and the Bank of England collaborated on the design of these new banknotes, explaining the extensive skill and attention to detail that is required for such a project.
