De La Rue recognised as a European Climate Leader
De La Rue is pleased to announce that they have recently been recognised as a "European Climate Leader". This is the 4th year that De La Rue has appeared in the report published by the Financial Times and compiled by Statista.
The report lists businesses that have achieved significant reductions in their Scope 1 and 2 carbon emission and factors in transparency around Scope 3 emissions (supply chain emissions).
We see this as a recognition of our continued efforts to be a more sustainable, transparent and responsible business, whilst acknowledging that there is always more to be done.
Harsha Thomas, Environmental Sustainability Coordinator at De La Rue, said:
Placing on the European Climate Leaders List is a recognition of the various initiatives De La Rue has implemented in the past five years as well as our continuous efforts to report De La Rue's environmental impact in a measured and transparent manner. Since the 2020 financial year, we have made a reduction of 37% for our Scope 1 and 2 emissions illustrating our progress, but there is still much to do as we continue to identify new opportunities to improve our operational footprint.
