Central Reserve Bank of Peru receives award for "Best New Series"

De La Rue is pleased to announce that The Central Reserve Bank of Peru (CRBP) received the award for "Best New Series" 2024 at the High Security Printing Latin America conference in Santiago, Chile this month. Bringing the number of award winning banknotes, designed by De La Rue, up to four so far for 2024.
The BCRP's latest banknote series features emblematic figures of the 20th century such as Chabuca Granda, José María Arguedas, María Rostworowski, Pedro Paulet and Tilsa Tsuchiya; and symbols of Peruvian biodiversity such as the vicuña, condor, jaguar, hummingbird, cock-of-the-rock, and a variety of native flowers.
The award winning banknote series was designed by De La Rue and includes Enhanced GEMINI™ a distinctive and versatile print feature that reveals itself under ultra-violet light for cashiers, and tellers to validate. The hidden image appears as two colours when illuminated with UV and is intricately linked to the image or pattern work of the visible print.
