Product Reconciliation Supervisor

Role Purpose:

The Product Reconciliation Supervisor (PRS) is a flexible working leader role (a multi-skilled operative role with team leadership responsibilities). The role, which is key to ensuring self-sufficiency of a high performing team, leads and forms part of a team managing material count, reconciliation and destruction , within multiple business units of the site. Working closely with the Line Manager, the PRS will be responsible for the safety, security and productivity of all employees within the materials function. The PRS is accountable for ensuring that scheduled works for completion are executed in a timely manner, adhering to all security procedures and within all quality & cost parameters, for driving high standards of workplace organisation and operational excellence, and for participation in the training/development and performance management. The PL will be expected to take higher responsibility in absence of the Line Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Safety and Security procedures are followed
  • Ensure all Process quality controls & SOPs are followed and effective
  • Correct segregation of waste, isolating jobs prior to destruction
  • Assist and lead when necessary in witnessed and unwitnessed waste destruction
  • Ensure Process Documentation and workplace org. standards are sustained
  • Training new employees and coach existing ones
  • Lead Problem solving & root cause analysis. Assist in investigations of discrepancies
  • Issue balance certificates for customers
  • Drive generation of cost saving ideas
  • Embed OpEx within the HPT
  • Enable effective communications between employees and front-line management
  • Safety and Secure culture
  • To understand the principles and comply with practices of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Continuous Improvement

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • GCSE (Or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C or above
  • Experience in manufacturing operations
  • Technical aptitude, either formal or experiential
  • Process Knowledge
  • Quality assurance awareness
  • HSE and Security acumen
  • Change Over (SMED) and SOP training
  • Ability to train & coach others
  • Problem Solving acumen
  • 8 wastes & Continuous Improvement expertise
  • Trained in Operational Excellence
  • Ability to assess risks and make safe workplace decisions
  • Ability to ensure compliance to company procedures
