Process Engineer (PA&T)

To support the Product Manager in PA&T in order to ensure that the products within BU1 are manufactured within the agreed specifications and cost targets. In addition identify and lead value added/value engineering activities in order to reduce the unit cost of the product and carry out trials in order to develop products and processes.
Key Activities:

Support the Product Manager in creating, updating and reviewing the Product Specifications

Support the Product Manager by ensuring that any new product, equipment or process is validated and ready to be released in production

Support the Product Manager to identify and lead Value Added/Value Engineering Activities

Drive and support problem solving sessions on-line or off-line

Be part of the Product and Process FMEA Team as required while involvement in job-planning is necessary to focus on prevention mentality

Create risk mitigation plans based on RPNs and come up with process improvements to reduce the RPNs

Support the behaviour of working as One De La Rue, sharing best practice and collaborating with colleagues outside of own sphere of business

Ensure full participation in the performance development review (PDR) process and maintain an up to date record of all training and development activities/programs

Essential Skills:
-
Degree in Engineering
-
6-Sigma Green Belt (will be considered an asset)
-
Lean manufacturing background
-
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-
Strong interpersonal and people management skills
-
Continuous improvement mindset – relentless in pursuit of excellence
-
Experience – at least 1 year in engineering role would be an asset
- Results/delivery driven. Track record of success, flexible in approach and true change agent
