The Chemicals Process Lead, with chemical background and expertise, is a key member of the Prepress team in managing processes within the department heavily reliant on chemical processes as well as a reference point in terms of any chemistry-related changes or projects within the department.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring smooth operation of Laboratory operations and other relevant chemical sections within Prepress through management of processes and people of areas, hitting KPIs and driving OPEX throughout the areas.
  • Implementing projects within sections under leadership to completion and sustaining until BAU
  • Training of operatives in any chemically inclined processes within Prepress

The above list is not exhaustive. You will be required to undertake other duties within your capabilities, consistent with this role, to support the needs of the business.


Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum ‘A’ level standard in Chemistry
  • Lab technician certificate or similar qualification in Water Technology considered an asset
  • Previous experience in lab operations in FMCG environment considered an asset
  • Microsoft ECDL
  • Read/Write technical standard operating procedures and risk assessments
  • Use of SPC tools and control plans
  • Has an eye for detail and able to carry out problem solving on their own.
  • Quality awareness
  • HSE and Security acumen
  • Need to be able to manually lift 25kg load where necessary and according to HSE best practice
