Role Purpose:

Delivers the procurement service for both internal and external customers, ensuring materials and services are delivered to meet quality, cost and lead times. Daily management of requirement, develop supplier relationship & support site with inventory cost and space allocation

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Preferably A level standard
  • Any basic accreditation in accounts would be considered as an asset
  • Negotiating skills
  • Procurement experience preferred
  • ECDL

Formal qualification in Procurement diploma level preferred Key Activities:

  • Lead, negotiate and deliver the purchase of goods and services for the business in the most effective manner
  • Assists the Procurement Manager with the large spends and delivers against the backdrop of globally negotiated agreements
  • Ensure those in the business both locally and globally understand the procurement processes
  • Research new sources of supply for all goods materials and services including critical goods that support business continuity
  • Liaise with planning to monitor production plan and changes, keep track of materials to support inventory against business targets whilst allowing operations to manage customer requirements
  • Analyse and plan all material resource to meet customer requirements
  • Ensure that orders placed are delivered on time in full
  • Trains and develops employees
  • To understand the principles and comply with practices of Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Continuous Improvement
  • To always act and behave in a way compliant with all De La Rue company guidelines and policies, especially those relating to Environmental Health and Safety, ethics and codes of conduct
