The role of Operational Risk Analyst will play a critical role in identifying and assessing operational risks which may impact operations, delivery, customer and compliance to legislation, internal policies and procedures, customer policies and external accreditation requirements including but not limited to ISO standards. This role will be pivotal in ensuring that any business risks identified are discussed in the correct forums, including local risk committees and management reviews. The ORA will develop and sustain accurate risk registers, implementing risk management programmes and business continuity/disaster recovery planning and exercising. The ORA will be an advisor embedded into all operational and supporting functions including IT, Finance, HSE and Engineering and will act as the SME on risk and resilience.

 

Essential Skills:

 

  • Acquaint oneself with and understand Corporate (De La Rue Group) Policies, Standards and other Codes of Practices demanded by the organisation at any time
  •  Familiarise oneself with corporate risk assessment methodology and deployment and ensure site operational risks are captured, logged, assessed, and communicated in a standardised, effective manner
  •  Support HSSE & Resilience Manager in establishing and maintaining an effective Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programme, including disaster scenario testing and exercising.
  •  Coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of Malta site BC programmes with Group strategy
  •  Design, implement and sustain an effective site Risk Committee to be attended by site Senior Leadership Team and key personnel to regularly discuss and manage operational risks.
  •  Attend operational review meetings and workshops to support risk identification and escalation
  •  Collaborate with other departments and forge a close working relationship with all process leaders and staff to drive a positive risk aware culture
  •  Input Nonconformities, Observations and/or Opportunities for Improvements in a central database in order to facilitate communication with the process owner who is responsible to document a planned corrective action to resolve issue
  •  Provide cover for other duties within the HSSER team, when needed (primarily internal security audit)
