De La Rue is strongly committed to quality assurance, continuous improvement, audit and control access in all areas of its business functionality. We work towards and adhere to a number of standards, accreditations and certifications, including the following:
ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
The De La Rue Quality Management System is audited at six-monthly intervals by the British Standards Institution (BSI) to ensure that appropriate quality procedures are in place, complete and suitable for the operations that they control, and that all business related tasks are performed in a consistently professional way, and records are maintained to provide a complete audit trail.
ISO 14298:2013 Management of Security Printing Processes (Central Bank Level)
ISO 14298 is aimed at organisations carrying out the printing and production of secure documents such as banknotes, passports credit cards and other secure documents such as tax stamps. The accreditation is awarded at three different levels, the highest being the Central Bank level. The scope of the accreditation allows the site to meet the security needs of both the product - from raw materials to processes - and the customer, giving confidence that the agreed level of security is achieved.
ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 IT Service Management System
The IT Service Management System that supports the passport production and personalisation service within the technical and organisational boundaries of De La Rue UK Passport Contract carried out centrally from Gateshead, with internal support teams located at Manchester, Basingstoke and Malta.
ISO 22301:2012 Business Continuity Management System
The management system defined by ISO 22301 ensures De La Rue has a robust plan in place that supports complete interoperability between sites and identifies contingency for all critical business activities. This protects against and reduces the impact of a disruptive event, while ensuring business continues with minimal impact to customers.
ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System
De La Rue recognises that care of the environment is a fundamental concern, and is committed to the most appropriate standards of environmental management relevant to our business in line with regulatory and legislative requirements. This includes the identification of significant environmental aspects and associated impacts of factories and the establishment of an environmental management system to implement best options for environmental management across the business.
OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management
All De La Rue manufacturing sites hold OHSAS 18001 accreditation. WE ensure all health and safety processes are robust and in place to meet our responsibility to keep our employees and everyone visiting our sites safe and secure. This is done through clearly defined responsibilities, good communication and training, risk assessment and the implementation of appropriate controls.
