Code of Business Principles
It is essential that we maintain the trust and confidence of our customers, and everyone we deal with, both inside and outside De La Rue, by demonstrating complete integrity in the way that we and our business partners behave. Our Code of Business Principles sets out our core values and standards and is the foundation of our ethical framework.
All employees, including part-time and contractors, and business partners are without exception required to follow the Code of Business Principles when representing De La Rue (the code is a key part of the new employee induction process worldwide, including part-time and contractors, and third party partners also receive training). The nine principles embodied in the Code are:
- Health, safety and the environment
- Fairness and respect
- Records and reports
- Conflicts of interest
- Protecting personal information
- Competition and anti-trust laws
- Bribery and corruption
- Gifts and hospitality
- Insider trading and confidential information
These principles are supported by policies, processes and controls which help to ensure that we do the right thing as a business.
Ethics Champions have been appointed at each site to help us better understand and respond to the needs of sites in relation to Code of Business Principles matters. The Ethics Committee of the board will receive regular reports of how the work of our Ethics Champions is progressing.
