New UK Passport design unveiled

Basingstoke, 3rd November 2015: Her Majesty’s Passport Office has today announced the new design for the UK Passport to the press and general public. The new book celebrates 500 years of creativity in the United Kingdom and features well known images from artists, landmarks, architecture, iconic British innovations and the performing arts/

De La Rue, as the world's largest commercial passport producer and designer, has worked closely with HM Passport Office to introduce this new design. As part of De La Rue's ten year contract with HM Passport Office, over 28m passports have already been produced. The new design, which will be issued to customers as part of a phased roll out from December this year, incorporates new features that will enhance the security of the document. This ensures that it will continue to meet both rigorous international standards and be one of the most secure passports in the world.
