Remington Selects De La Rue’s Secure Licensing Solution
Remington Selects De La Rue’s Secure Licensing Solution to Protect and Enhance its Brand
(London, September 2008) De La Rue Holographics, which provides secure licensing solutions to many high-profile brands and is part of the De La Rue Group, the world’s largest commercial security printer and papermaker, has been selected to protect official licensed products for Remington Arms Company, Inc., a US based company and market leader in the design, production and sale of sporting goods products for the hunting sports market.
From July 2008 onwards, De La Rue's Secure Licensing Solution will be deployed globally on Remington’s range of branded licensed merchandise such as apparel, accessories and back packs. It incorporates an easy to authenticate hologram label supported by SLSNet, a web-based ordering, tracking and verification tool. The solution means approved licensees can protect their 'exclusive license' investment by securing and clearly differentiating official Remington products in the retail market, with the ability to review and manage their orders online. Every licensed product is effectively given a unique 'licence plate' enabling enforcement officials to track and verify genuine Remington products wherever they are in the world. De La Rue’s solution provides effective management of licensed sales and distribution channels for licensors and licensees.
As Megan Rockfield, USA Key Account Manager for De La Rue Holographics, remarks “Remington is a prestigious and well known company and was looking for a partner of similar standing. We have teamed up to implement De La Rue’s Secure Licensing Solution which has already proven highly effective for a range of global customers. We are proud to be working with Remington to ensure its licensing programme remains at the top of its industry.”
Scott Lester, Director of Licensing and Accessories for Remington Arms Company, Inc. commented, “Working in partnership with De La Rue means that we can strengthen our distinct brand status while protecting the integrity of our international licensing programme. De La Rue’s experience in the licensing market meant that it could really understand our needs to develop an attractive, highly secure licensing solution to keep us at the forefront of our market.”
